Us and Cannes
We’ve performed in cities across continents, but there’s something about Cannes that changes the way music moves. Maybe it’s the sound of the sea in the background, maybe it’s the mix of glamour and intimacy, or maybe it’s just the way celebrations here always seem to spill past midnight. Whatever it is, every note feels brighter when it rises into the Riviera air.
Our music here has carried through candlelit terraces, across private beaches, and into courtyards where the sea breeze seemed to join in. Sometimes it’s soft, almost like a whisper. Other times it’s bold, pulling every guest onto their feet. That’s what Cannes does. It holds space for both.
What we’ve seen here
We’ve seen couples exchange vows at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, with strings echoing as waves brushed against the rocks below. We’ve played receptions in the seaside gardens of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, where music drifted between fountains and roses while the sun set behind the horizon.
On other nights, we’ve filled the ballrooms of hotels like the Hôtel Martinez and JW Marriott Cannes, where soft dinner music gave way to full throttle sets that turned the evening into a celebration that didn’t end until dawn.
There are private corners of Cannes too. A wedding at Château de la Napoule, with its stone walls and view of the sea, felt like stepping into a storybook. A party at Castellaras Castle gave us the chance to mix acoustic sets during dinner with high-energy sounds that carried across the terrace later that night.
And then there are the beaches. Quiet vows at Domaine de Canaille, first dances on the sands of Macé Beach or BoccaCabana, and celebrations spilling out onto the private beaches of Carlton Cannes or Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic. There’s nothing like music mixing with the sound of waves under the open sky.
